HEMA training has resumed!

HEMA training in longsword for members has now started again after the summer break! Come and strike down your fellow members. :)

Training times are:

Mondays, 18:30: New material

Wednesdays, 18:30: Manuscript study and Theory

Thursdays, 18:30: Sparring

The Longsword beginners course will most likely start at the middle/end of September. Probably as a weekend course with optional monday trainings for 10 weeks after that.

VaMi at Vaasa's Night of Arts

VaMi will be participating in the Night of Arts where we will have a small booth next to the City Hall. Come by and say hi!

Members Area now opened!

A separate page has now been added for VaMi members where things like training videos can be accessed. The videos and any other resources are only available through the link on the page and the page is only accessible with the password. You can find the Members Area from the main menu. Analysis of the videos is encouraged! :)

T-shirts, Xmas and Chocolate!

On Thursday 17.12 at 18:30, training will be ending for 2015! Next training after that will be on 07.01.2016!

Instead of normal training 17.12 we will be having our traditional little Xmas-party, with mulled wine (Glögg/Glögi), gingerbread cookies, silly games and Sauna! VaMi will bring the mulled wine and gingerbread cookies, but bring more snacks, drinks and/or a towel if you want!

You can also sponsor VaMi this year by buying a box of chocolate balls (enter obligatory Southpark reference here) for 7€. They are dangerously delicious! Boxes are found at the Salle.

Also, T-shirts will be ordered according to who wants them! Final discussion about logo/motto etc. to be held at the party! See you there!

The usual training times for HEMA and Sportfencing mentioned below still apply:

Mondays: 18:30 HEMA and 20:00 Sportfencing (Epee)
Wednesdays: 18:30 HEMA (Research) and 19:30 Sportfencing (Epee)
Thursday: 18:30 HEMA (Sparring-focused training)

VaMi is officially on summer break!

No scheduled fencing until after the summer! Announcement will be made here and on the VaMi facebook page when regular training resumes.

Mikko and Sebastian have keys to the Salle, so if anyone of us can train on a certain day during summer (and the weather permits) we will post on the VaMi facebook page. Reply if you are up for some training! We will probably get equipment from the Salle and train outside in that case, since the Salle gets awfully hot during warm summer days.

Hoping to see you in the park some time during summer!

VaMi is now running at 50% power!

Just in case anyone still missed it, VaMi is "almost" on summer holiday right now, with trainings only in HEMA, and only on Mondays and Wednesdays at 18:30.

There will still be training held for a week or two. After that, training will be held at random intervals in the Orthodox Church park when enough people feel like coming. :)
